This project was initiated by the Education Working Group of AEGEE-Europe, with a view to meet the need of further developing higher education at a European level by supporting the finding of solutions through a learner-centered approach. Currently, HED is being developed by a Project Team as a European Project of AEGEE. This change was done as the ex president of AEGEE-Europe, Manos Valasis, and the Board of the Education Working Group from 2009/2010 decided that HED was big and valuable enough to become a separate project and to have a team dedicated only to it.

The Higher Education Days project intends to reach out to students, enabling and encouraging them to have a greater influence on the decision making process concerning higher education. It postulates the need of including students as co-creators and partners in the delivery and governance of their learning experiences. The project focuses mainly on the different national education systems, the implementation of the Bologna process and the recognition of non-formal education.

Getting Involved

The ideal member of the HED team is a person who believes that higher education is important for us and who trusts that we, youg people, must be co-creators and partners in the delivery and governance of our learning experiences.

Currently the HED team is looking for a PR responsible as well as for documentation sub-team members for non-formal education or Bologna process, but the best thing would be to contact the team using the above mentioned information.
