Council of Europe – European Youth Foundation
The European Youth Foundation (EYF) is a fund established in 1972 by the Council of Europe to provide financial support for European youth activities. It has an annual budget of approximately 3 million Euros. Peace Revolution is a project under the non-profit organization WPI- “World Peace Initiative Foundation”, striving for peace through development of individuals from all around the world. It was founded in 2008 in Thailand and since then Peace Revolution empowers and inspires young people from different countries around the globe through techniques of meditation, helping them aquire tools needed to work on leadership and impacting society by becoming living role models to other young people around them. This is possible thanks to the merging of meditation lessons and new technologies. The Peace Revolution concept starts with the idea of “You will never be able to lead and help others until you’ve learnt to lead and help yourself”.

IFISO – Informal Forum of International Student Organisations. IFISO is an informal forum for international officers of pluralistic, “non-political” and not-for-profit international (worldwide, European, etc.) student-run organizations. IFISO is an international network of global or European Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). IFISO provides a platform for these NGOs to share best practices, but also to pursue common aims, often by cooperating through inter-organisational projects on a European level.
Board of European Students of Technology (BEST) is a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organisation. Since 1989 BEST has been providing communication, cooperation and exchange opportunities for students all over Europe. 94 Local BEST Groups in 33 countries are creating a growing, well-organised, powerful, young and innovative student network. BEST promotes “Empowered diversity”and helps the European students of technology become more internationally minded, by reaching a better understanding of European cultures and developing the ability to work and volunteer in a global environment.
Student Forum Maastricht
Student Forum Maastricht (SFM) is an annual student conference that offers international students the possibility to discuss European Union related topics. In cooperation with the European Commission, the students draft policy proposals for relevant policy fields presenting their ideas and suggestions. SFM based at the Faculty of Arts and Social Science (FASoS) of Maastricht University. While the European Commission provides the groups with a problem statement which constituted the starting point for the proposals, several experts working in the relevant field give their input and share insights with the participants. Each working group is guided by an academic tutor who accompanies the students in the process of drafting the policy papers. The work in the groups is complemented by an inspiring and diverse lecture programme.
The Brussels Interns NGO (B!ngo) ASBL is a Brussels-based organization that promotes quality internships. It 1) offers internship-seekers and employers a platform to interact, 2) provides the general public with information about (quality) internships in Belgium, and 3) serves as one of the main stakeholders in improving interns’ working & learning conditions. AEGEE works with them to raise awareness towards the quality internships cause, sharing resources and knowledge.
EESTEC – Electrical Engineering STudents’ European assoCiation is a European wide association of students of electrical engineering (EE) and computer science (CS). Our vision is to unite all students of EE and CS in order to achieve their full potential in their personal and professional life, as well as promoting our EE and CS amongst all students across Europe. The backbone of our activities consists of academical workshops on various thematics from EE and CS field. Our activities also take place in cultural exchanges and other numerous events (round tables, competitions, JobFairs, career events,…) organized by our Local Committees. Currently, EESTEC is spreaded on 51 universities through whole Europe.
The European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (EPSA) is a non-profit and non-political association which represents 33 Pharmacy Students’ Associations from 29 countries, representing around 120.000 pharmacy students all over Europe. Its main objective is ‘to develop the interests and opinions of European pharmacy students and to encourage contact and collaboration between them. EPSA’s motto “Bringing Pharmacy, Knowledge and Students Together” reflects its will to promote the ideas and opinions of all the students of Pharmacy in Europe in order to improve the Education, the Pharmaceutical Profession and the Scientific Advances regarding Pharmacy. EPSA has its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, in PGEU’s offices.
Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a not-for-profit international student organisation. Our mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students. We are 12.000 members from more than 350 sections working on a volunteer base in Higher Education Institutions. We are offering services to 150.000 students.
ESTIEM is the organisation for European Students of Industrial Engineering and Management, who combine technological understanding with management skills. ESTIEM’s goal is to establish and foster relations between students across Europe and to support them in their personal and professional development. The network consists of 64 Local Groups in 25 countries, reaching out to 50 000 students.
The International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) is a platform for political science students and students interested in political science issues. The Association is international, politically independent, non-profit and student-run, and aims to have global impact in the political science sphere. In its thirteen years of existence, IAPSS embraces over 75 association members, approximately 10.000 individuals, from more than fifty countries spread all over the world. Next tot he Executive Committee which is situated in Ljubljana, Slovenia, IAPSS also has two specialized regional centres, one in Latin America headquartered in Peru (IAPSS LARC) and one in the Western Balkans.
The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) is one of the largest international student forums, bringing together more than 1.2 million medical students representing 96 countries from all 4 corners of the globe. The IFMSA believes and works towards creating culturally sensitive medical students who are able to appreciate health problems throughout the world, work relentlessly to alleviate the burdens of those problems and join forces with relevant partners to create healthier communities, and thus a healthier world.
